    Check this out:

    ffmpeg -i in.mkv -f webm -vf "fps=24" -r 24 -c:v libvpx-vp9 -crf 36 -b:v 0 -an out.webm

    Takes a MKV recording and converts it to a WebM, with the -crf 36 I got a little over 50% file size reduction without noticeable quality loss.
